“…apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5b
Prayer is a vital ministry at Bethel. Without prayer – without two-way conversation with God – we can do nothing. Prayer is such an important aspect of the Christian life that Jesus taught the disciples (and us) how to pray when he delivered The Lord’s Prayer – when they asked Him how to pray. From the Budget process to Board meetings to ministry decisions – it all starts with prayer! Every Sunday at 8:30 a.m., we meet to pray for the church’s Sunday services. Everyone is welcome to attend. What a great start to the services to be in prayer – preparing our hearts and minds to come into God’s presence and worship Him! We invite you to come and join us. We also offer prayer support at the end of each Sunday service. If you are impacted by something in the message or you would like to share a need, prayer partners are available at the front of the auditorium to pray with you. Before leaving the services, we encourage you to come and meet with God in prayer. The Prayer Lunch Bunch is a group of people who are passionate about prayer. We meet every Tuesday at noon to pray for the people and needs of Bethel, our community, and our world. Everyone is welcome to join us. Bring your lunch and leave when you must! We have a group of men who come together every Thursday at 6:45 a.m. for a time of fellowship and prayer. If you are looking for something more, this is a great opportunity to take a step of growth. All men are welcome and encouraged to come and participate. On the first and third Monday of each month, we have a prayer team that works through our Bethel phone directory, making calls to connect with you. If you have a prayer request, feel free to share it with our team and we will pray on your behalf. Prayer is powerful and effective. We are privileged to be able to pray for you. On the first Sunday of each month – at 6:00 p.m., there is a Corporate Prayer Meeting at Bethel. Everyone comes together to pray for the needs of our people, our leaders, our missionaries, the direction of our church, and the various ministries within. Again, everyone is invited to attend this most important monthly event. Hope to see you there! Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will…” I Thessalonians 5: 16-18 |
